dobushfarm.typepad.com > "Doc" Watson

Doc is the newest addition to Dobush Farm. He is a Cleveland Bay X Appendix Cross. Doc has big boots to fill. I want him to drive like Zenon, and event like Noodle. It is fun have a young one on the farm again.

This is the best age to "desensitize" a horse. Docs natural curiosity will overcome fear of most things. He is so bored being tied to the barn that I stuffed a plastic bag in a crack and let him pull it out.

Doc is officially two. His short back is lengthening, and his face is more sculpted. He still and always will have Radar ears (Cleveland bay trait).

Here, Doc is learning that "work" can be fun too. A good trainer allows the horse to be a horse and not a machine. If the horse isn't allowed a little fun, then why bother.....

Here, Doc is protesting......"I don't want to run around in circles, lets face off" This is why you hire a professional to make sure it doesn't become a habit.

Doc was very happy to be with another horse. He and Blue played over the fence

Doc Watson is 2 and a half now. He is 16 hh and a little over 900 lbs. I brought him to a friends house to hang out with her gelding who was alone. They hit it off instantly, it was sad to seperate them a couple weeks later. Doc really kind of annoys the heck out of Liza.
